With the renovation project moving full force, I never know what I am going to find when I come home. Marc has the project time table and schedule memorized, but me, not so much.  I can’t keep track of when our driveway will be ripped up or when the man is coming to pick-up our stove that we sold on Craig’s list.   To avoid confusion, I try to park my car in my neighbor’s driveway instead of ours.  That way, my car will never be in the way.  Our neighbors don’t live at the beach year round, and they are helping us by letting us use their driveway and kitchen while we are in construction.

 

I arrived home late from work, and it was raining.  Marc’s car was already parked by our neighbors so I called from the street to find out if I should park behind him or if I was safe to use our own driveway.

I did.  As soon as I shut of my engine, Marc appeared outside.  He looked at the cars.  “Why’d you park so close to me?” he asked. “You are actually right on top of my bumper.”
