Happy Gotcha Day!

Happy Gotcha Day!

Hello everyone! It’s me, The Lucy!

Remember me? I really hope so. My stupid mommy hasn’t let me talk to my friends in long time. I hope I still have friends… But I don’t want to rag on her too much. She’s been going through some stuff and her time has been extra limited. Yet she still managed to finish Plan Cee (will be published in March) and she does make sure my breakfast is ready nice and early every morning so there is that…

Do you know what today is????

Don’t worry. My daddy didn’t realize either (um… should I be getting worried? Should I be looking for new parents on eBay)????

Alright, I will tell you… It is my GOTCHA DAY!!!

I can’t believe I have been with my parents for four years already. Where does time go? It feels like it was yesterday they showed up at my foster mom’s house to get me. I had no idea who they were, but they seemed nice. I was worried, though. I only traveled one other time before – when I escaped the horrible kill shelter. But I was so young then – I was only three days old.

I barely remember the ride to my house. I cuddled up on mommy’s lap and slept in my brother Alex’s travel towels. I felt so safe. I knew I was going cared for and loved. When we got to the house I was scared again, but not for long. I smelled my brother Alex everywhere and I knew he was going to look out for me, and he did. By the next morning, I ruled the house and the parents.

This year was rough for me. I knew mommy and daddy were up to no good very quickly. They spent less and less time at home with me. Then they made all my stuff disappear. I thought they were going to disappear too. And when they put me in the car for yet another long ride I was fighting mad. But eventually, I was reunited with all my stuff and had a new home to discover and love. And believe me, I love it here, especially meeting all my new friends outside my window. I am especially partial to the squirrels.IMG_0259

So yeah… while I sometimes have a bone to pick with my parents, I wouldn’t trade them for the world. I love them so much and I am so happy I was got by them!
