“Mommy, you went away not too long ago and I am still not happy about the desertion. You are going away again? I will have to organize a sit in!” Lucy continues…

“WHAT? The tour is virtual? You don’t have to leave the house! Phew… I can rest easy! Carry on then” Lucy mutters as she dozes back to sleep…

Hilary had gotten used to dating the commitment-phobic Marc, thirteen years her senior. They had a great relationship–why rush into things? She saw no need to pressure him for marriage, believing that when the time was right, he would propose. But after they had been together for four years, their friends decided to take matters into their own hands, pushing Marc to propose and making Hilary realize how much she really did want to marry the man that she loved. Unfortunately, Marc still wasn’t ready–and their friends’ meddling in the form of a faux engagement party led to a disastrous New Year’s Eve that brought their relationship to an inevitable turning point.

    1. Brian – thank CAT! Virtual laps aren’t squishy and comfy like mommy’s is! xoxo Lucy

Lucy – who you calling squishy? Hilary

  1. Virtual book tours are the best – I did one for my second advice book a few years ago. Being an indoor-only kitty, it was the only way I could do a book tour!

  2. Guess Lucy is super happy the whole thing is virtual. I’m sure she would not be a hapy kitty if you were to go on a real book tour!!! 🙂

  3. Yippee, I think I managed to enter in as many ways as possible! Your book looks awesome. I’m visiting from TBM’s blog, by the way. Hope you have an awesome day!

    Blogging from Ecuador,
    Kathy

    1. Kathryn – thank you so much!! I really appreciate all the support (especially all the way fro Ecuador!)

  4. First of all I love your kitty. I have one that does that same thing if she thinks we are leaving. lol They are so funny. Thanks for this great giveaway and good luck to everyone. Can’t wait to read your book.. 🙂

    1. Linda – thanks so much! Cats are so funny and smart, aren’t they? I hope you enjoy Dangled Carat!

  5. Lucy, it is really terrible how the humans get caught up in this “work” thing. All of them should be able to work at home so they can always cater to our every whim. At least this time, your Mom figured out a way to do that! You really need to keep her under your paw at all times…Purrs, Serafina and Arya

Pee Ess: We haven’t been able to go visiting lately ‘cuz our Mom has been doing something called “taxes”. We tried to help with organizing stuff–we went sledding across the table on her piles of papers–and all we got for a thank you was her screeching at us. Humans!

    1. Fuzz Mother – you are so right.. this work stuff they insist on doing is for the birds (oh no.. I love the birds). My mom tells me that she has to work so she can buy me cat food. I say that is silly. She can figure out a different way. Wishing your mom luck with those silly taxes! xoxo Lucy
