There aren’t many independent bookstores around.  But nestled near my office one remains.  The Dolphin Bookshop

Anyone who lives in the area knows this store.  It has been around for many, many years.  I entered it for the first time a few weeks ago and fell in love with it.  They have a wide variety of books, cute household items, a cozy cafe, and an adorable children’s section that features not only books but cool toys!

The store often does author events…And this past Saturday, along with my friends and fellow Booktrope authors Jennifer Gracen and   Meredith Schorr I did my first signing…

It was surreal to actually see my book in a store…  Even though it has been over a year since I first held Dangled Caratin my hands, Saturday for the first time I felt like a “real” author….

It was a wonderful afternoon.  We had a great turnout!  I felt the love from friends and we signed many books…

The time passed so quickly… The afternoon was a blur, filled with conversation, smiles, and laughs.  It was truly a day I will never forget….
