Good Morning! Hey it is me, Alex!

I don’t know about you, but I have been extremely stressed lately. I have heard some disturbing news, and I am trying not to let it affect my sleep, but, it is hard…
Google has discontinued friend connect on all non-blogger blogs effective March 1, 2012 – which is right around the corner. And since my servant, err, I mean mom, doesn’t use blogger anymore, I am afraid I will lose all my friends. And, that would be a disaster! After all, I love you guys (and so does my mom!)

Can you blame me for being nervous?????

So, I have been trying to help my mom come up with ways to prevent that from happening, and this is what we have….

She installed the word press follow button on the bottom left of the screen. You can use that to get email notifications of every post. Also, there is also the Face Book Network blog follow button.
.
And launched today (after much cursing, crying and frustration) the Feeling Beachie Fan page on FaceBook! Watching my Mom set that one up was as much fun as watching her try to use a sewing machine… man, were bad words uttered!

So, please,please, please don’t abandon this man cat… Join MY (ok, I will share it with my mom) Face Book Fan page,

Hmm, we didn’t know this. But we read your blog in Google Reader, so we don’t think this will affect us, at any rate.
Our human refuses to do FB, though. (As if any of us have any privacy left now anyway. LOL.)

No way we would not keep track of you and your Mom Alex, Gracie just wouldn’t stand for it! I use Feed Demon as my RSS reader and have everyone in there so I can keep track of them!

It’s such a pain isn’t it! Especially since most of us have worked so hard to get our numbers!! I’m now following you on Networked blogs and facebook. There is also a new one a lot of people have been trying Linky, if you got to my site you will see it and then sign up from there if you want. I’m really just following the crowd and joining everything until I find one I like as much as GFC!! I’m glad I have your covered I wouldn’t want to miss any great Alex shots!!

Kathy – it is so frustrating.. And I am not even 100% sure I will be affected. I kept my blogspot address and did a redirect, but no matter how much I try to research, I can’t find the answer.. you are right… Just when you are happy with your numbers, poof, they are gone
I have seen the new linky and will try it in the next week or so – I am fried from technology…

Awww beautiful Alex!! Don’t you worry – I’ve already had a couple of wordpress bloggers emailing me about this and I’ve since joined their mailing list – it meant wordpress friends disappear too from my follower’s list – but that’s ok cos I then get email updates to their wordpress posts!! Yay!!
Me and Charlie shall now join your email list!

Oh no! We didn’t know this and we are on WordPress too! This is gonna affect us because we use Google Reader to follow most of our furiends. How do you add that “Follow” button to your blog?? We use the Catblogosphere to list our blog and we are on Facebook too. So we’ll make sure we “like” you…please “like” us!!

Debby – I think it is crazy too… If it is a loss for them, why not give people the option to pay for the service? I know I would gladly pay a yearly / monthly fee to use it…

Hilary, even though I suck at commenting I do get your emails and read them every time the come! I am following on the new FB page and the G+ although I STILL can’t figure that out! It would be nice if Google would convert our GFCs to the G+ for us all. Glad you figured out the FB page, took me forever and a little help from Mr. & Mrs. Bernie.

Coupon Queen – thanks so much!!! You are such a sweetie… I can’t figure out Google + to save my life… And the thought of investing so much time to learn it makes me a little crazy…. I agree, I think that they should have done more about the conversion… especially since so many people didn’t even know about it, or what will happen. I still have my old blogspot URL with a auto forward to wordpress… Part of me wonders if GFC will still work… it is crazy…
