Comings and goings…

Comings and goings…

It’s been a while since I have blogged. Really blogged.  I am having withdrawal. I miss it.  I miss reading. I miss writing and commenting. I am going to catch up. I swear. I have to. It’s been a crazy few month. Well, it has been a crazy year, and I am still recovering from it. Slowly.

Moving, renovating a house, working full-time, having to republish two books, working on audiobooks, finish writing my third book were the big ticket items of the year. But let’s face it, every day has its own challenges and there is simply not enough hours in a day for everything.

I think I finally snapped. It’s happened to me before – when I was in college. And it happened again. I mentally and physically exhausted myself – and have been sick for three weeks. It started as a case of the flu (even though I had the shot) and lingered with a vengeance. My plans for catching up were derailed and replaced by quality time on the couch playing Candy Crush on my iPad (just enough mental stimulation without having to think too hard).

But the show must go on… It has been less than six months since we finished renovations so what does that mean? Time to repaint a wall or two – Lucy approved… and helped… she spent the entire day, almost, with Omar the painter….

And my excitement mounts about Plan Cee – I am so happy that my “friends” Cecelia, Anna, Beatrice and Wally are back! Cee has quite the story… she has had some tough breaks.  She if faced with a very difficult decision.  Her choice may not be the best. It’s easy to want to hate her… But you can’t help but understand her at the same time. And let’s face it, until we are faced with a difficult decision do we really know how we’d act?  I’m giving away FIVE copies on goodreads – enter HERE

    1. Debby – thanks… It took a little over a month, but I am finally feeling better. I think the fact I didnt allow myself much down time was the reason I couldnt kick it…

  1. My last couple of months have been a crazy sort – too much on my plate perhaps too, but thankfully one situation is only temporary and near it’s end. My blogging has been sporadic and commenting horrible!! But today I find myself with a few extra hours thanks to kids at birthday parties. It’s good to be back and see what’s up with everyone! And of course, after getting side-tracked when only 2 chapters into Cee — I’ll be back into it too!

    1. Rorybore – I’m sorry… I dont know what it is… it seems like everyone is in the same boat. I feel like i am finally coming around too. Life is just so busy and stressful… we all need more hours in the day

  2. You know, you have stated a fact we should ALL remember each day as we go along with a sometimes critical attitude. Faced with a “fill-in-the-blank” situation, how would you the observer respond to it? What would make your response any different and why?

    1. Kate – Thank you… Your questions are great and so thought provoking.. And they also help me try to accomplish one of my goals for this year – somehow manage to stay in the moment a bit more…
